Pharmatex Launches In Cork, Ireland

Pharmatex the international convention for the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical sector was launched in Cork, Ireland by the Irish Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment, Micheal Martin TD.

Pharmatex which will run from the 11th – 13th September 2007, is set to feature a major conference, exhibition, educational program and networking events. Minister Martin commented that "we are fully behind Pharmatex as we see it dovetailing perfectly with government plans and initiatives for the sector."

This is a chance for industry, government and research groups to come together and to try to get a consensus of what the industry needs in the future. Ireland and Cork in particular is a world class centre of excellence for the Pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical sectors which continues to attract considerable investment from many of the world's top pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmatex aims to focus the educational, industrial and governmental efforts needed to maximise the return for the industry over the next ten years. Delegates from Ireland, Europe and the US will take part in the three day program.
